Would you like to polish your prose? Boost your poetry? Deconstruct language? Write better ransom notes?
All of the above? With wit and vast amounts of personality, Gary Provost guides writers to better writing in 100 Ways to Impress Your Writing. It’s quite a fun read (learning writing can be fun!) and has plenty of examples to illustrate the tips. I’ve reread it several times because, gosh, 100? That’s a lot to remember.
The book is is divided into chapters with related tips, to be more manageable without an overwhelming number of chapters Sometimes a tip is a caveat: use good judgment rather than strictly follow the rules. Writing is an art, and it too has happy little accidents..
